A Fireside Chat

This week on the show I do some quick housekeeping that you will not want to skip over.

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT THE ANONYMOUS BOX!

Then, I discuss my new found gambling addiction, talk about bands that I love but no longer really listen to and review the first two episodes of the new HBO show The Last Of Us.

I try to do a very SPOILER FREE review but please listen to that part at your own discretion.

Then another round of Would You Rather that are full of impossible choices as always.

Finally, friend of the show, Dominic Yosi chimes in with his picks for the songs that shape his emotions and his life and his very strong feelings about one particular Sarah Mclachlan song.

All of the the songs from our music episodes can be found on Spotify in a playlist titled A Fireside Soundtrack. If you can't find it or need the link, shoot me a line and I will gladly send it to you.

Homework assignment for a future show: I want to know about your driving. Do you have road rage? Do you consider yourself or your partner a better driver? Do you know someone whose driving makes you crazy? What do they do? What are their driving quirks that make you crazy and what are yours that make them crazy? Tell me everything!

Joe Saxman joins me next week to talk all things  concerts, music, growing up in the 90's and much much more.

It's the final week (for now) of our music episodes and we end with a real banger.

But first, a coworker of mine goes through holiday withdrawal, we get some feedback from AFC nation on past episodes and another round of Would You Rather that leaves me feeling very uncomfortable as always.

Then we wrap up our music series with the picks of AFC favorite and future guest Joe Saxman.  I'm pretty sure you won't be able to hear Metallica or look at clowns the same way after this episode.

Saxman joins me for a 4 hour chat all about music, concerts, growing up and much much more. That episode drops on this feed in 2 weeks.

A very fun episode that I think you will enjoy.

Our journey through the music of your lives is starting to wind down but not before we hear from a listener who shares songs that make her cry, make her laugh and remind her of the most important people in her life.

Before we get there, I do another round of Would You Rather and introduce you to a very lonely man with a very powerful tongue who I came across on social media.

No official homework assignment this week so that means it's open lines.  Got something on your mind you desperately need advice on? Have a topic or question you'd like addressed on the show? Have a WYR scenario you'd like me to answer?

You help make the content of the show! Let your voice be heard! Completely anonymous and confidential! Just click the link pinned at the top of the shows social media pages. I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Thanks for listening!

This week, I try to get through the episode before the flu overtakes me.

First, my weekend is interrupted by my neighbor Gladys and her wild stories of partying on the holidays.

Then some more impossible choices as we dive into the mailbag for a game of Would You Rather?

Finally we wrap up with some listener submissions of songs that get us excited and pumped up.

All this and much much more.

Ongoing homework assignment: Tell me about what songs make you sad. What songs make you happy. What songs can you no longer listen to anymore for whatever reason. Is there a song that always brings you back to earth and grounds you? Is there a song that always makes you happy no matter the situation?  Is there a band or artist that you just don't get? A band or artist that you feel like you should like but don't? Tell me all about the songs that affect you in all different ways.
